Ben has recently been experimenting with watercolour and acrylic on paper. "As it dries relatively quickly it allows me to paint 'en plein air', with the results feeding further ideas for works on canvas in the studio". The following are some examples. As the weather and light can change quickly painting this way requires an instinctive response. Brushstrokes tend to be light and unlaboured.
